Murphy's darn Law...

Sun Dec 27, 2009, 11:55 PM
As most of you may know, I have two cats. One's the gingerbread tuxedo (PI) and the other is the grey tabby that looks kind of like an African Wild Cat (Mayra).

I took PI to the vet a while back due to limping on his hind leg and walking on his tippy-toes so his knee wouldn't have to bend and the vet diagnosed him with a Kneecap Dislocation (Patellar Luxation I think it's called). It's a generic kind of thing and I can take him for surgery but there's an almost 50% chance that it will just happen again :/
He's walking without moaning now but the poor thing can't go on like this all the time and I don't think it's good to have his back arched all the time. At least he still has his fun-loving nature and likes to get tummy rubs every time I go to the loo :XD:

And now Mayra is starting to show symptoms of the kneecap problem...

My first two cats and they both have a generic problem. *sigh* I hate Murphy's Law.

Other than the rant, Christmas was fun and there weren't any family fights and I got a tan of sorts. I'm also half way with page three's penciling of a new Pedrigon chapter (the first one, ehheheh) - I haven't mentioned that already, right?

How was your holiday? :)

Mun-e-dane-nesh

Things are simmering down at work, meaning boredom is setting in because projects are trickling thin. Hahah, wordplay.

Funny song by Toy Dolls: [link] Watch it and laugh...
I have this song in my car and I sing along to it in traffic, probably giving the other drivers some amusement. Bwahah.

I lost my drawing click, have you seen it? I think it might be lost at work or something.

And oh hey! Clint Eastwood is making a movie "Invictus" about our old president and the 95 rugby world cup that the Bokke won... interesting. I'm going to be honest and say the drama probably won't get through to me because I'll be giggling too much at Matt Damon's attempt at our Afrikaans accent :XD: At least he tried, and our accent isn't very easy to get right.

"with a Trumpity trump trump trump..." (have listened to this song at least 4 times now)...

Scribbles...

Sun Oct 18, 2009, 1:56 PM
For those of you who figured out that I mean "iScribble", have a cookie :D

I never really realised how working with limited resources could really open up your curiosity to try harder or do more. That's what I like about iScribble; even though you only have three layers and in the beginning are just allowed a pen, eraser and line tool you can still have so much fun. Even now as a regular user and having access to the other tools, I rarely use them (or just minimal)...

It helps for art blocks too, and just watching other users draw can be a real eye opener.

Anyway, new week ahead - and goodness knows they seem to be in such a hurry... once Wednesday hits then the week is basically done for :O

New addition to the critters

Mon Aug 24, 2009, 11:52 AM
Yeah, created a new little fella to run around in my head and join the others in making me more scatterbrained and disorganised... hehehe (don't believe me? You try keeping house with a heckload of creations who always want attention :XD: )

[link] <-- afore-mentioned critter.

Ugh... my job is driving me quite nuts at the moment, and has been doing so for the last four weeks. For you who have jobs in offices, you know those "special" clients? Yeah... I got at least three of those in a day. For those who don't know, the "special" clients are the ones who think that they're your ONLY client and cannot understand why you can't get something designed/done in one day when they gave it "the morning already"... when actually you have a hundred other people to cater for and what they want from you takes usually a day or two to get done neatly.

:psychotic: <-- where my mental state is heading at this moment.

... I still need that holiday.

Dug up some old stuff...

Fri Jun 5, 2009, 12:12 AM
Would have gone to the last Rally to Read for this year ( Rally to Read site )but something came up and I thus decided I'll be productive and load some old stuff from what I did while studying.

There's quite a bunch, I'll tell you. I was actually looking for one specific project but couldn't find it... ah well. I even found some stuff from high school still :XD: That I'll put up at some later stage though.

Here's a list of stuff I'll be putting up:

- A Lego guy I drew with chalk pastels [link]
- A car done in three drawing techniques [link]
- A cutter done with pencil [link]
- A Necklace trinket done with darker pencils [link]
- An ABC we had to design (Mine was Knights and Dragons ;P ) [link]
- A book cover done with pen & markers [link]
- A cat anatomy showing the skull, muscles and glands [link]
- A black scratch board project [link]

It's really getting cooooooolllld here. Maybe it's a good thing we're not going to the R2R, it gets even colder in the Freestate.

How are you guys doing? :)
